How to read this calendar
What is expected EPS?
It is the earnings per share that the analysts who follow the company expect, on average. When the real figure is higher, the company is said to have beaten expectations. The share price usually reacts more to that gap than to the earnings themselves.
What does “before the open” mean?
That the company publishes its results before trading starts on its exchange. “After the close” means it publishes them once trading has ended, so the effect on the price shows the next day.
Where does the data come from?
The dates are the ones the companies themselves announce, and the estimates come from the analysts who cover them. Dates can change: the ones the company has not confirmed yet are marked.
